Before you begin
Form 4547 is used to elect to open an initial Trump account for an eligible child, and (optionally) request the $1,000 Pilot Program Contribution.
Pilot Program: $1,000 per eligible child
If your child qualifies and you elect it, Treasury will contribute $1,000 to the child’s Trump account after the election is processed and the trustee opens the account (no pilot contribution will be deposited earlier than July 4, 2026).
- Born after Dec 31, 2024 and before Jan 1, 2029.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and have a valid SSN.
- Must be anticipated to be the authorized individual’s qualifying child for the election year.
- Must not have had a prior Pilot Program election processed.
Your child's account grows with them.
Contributing to your child's Trump Account is optional. The balance will continue to grow over time, with or without contributions.

IRS requirements we help you satisfy
The IRS calls the person filing Form 4547 the authorized individual.
- If you’re only opening an initial Trump account (no Pilot Program election), the IRS defines the authorized individual by priority: legal guardian → parent → adult sibling → grandparent.
- If you’re requesting the $1,000 Pilot Program Contribution, the authorized individual is the person who anticipates the child will be their qualifying child for that tax year.
- General eligibility to open the account: child is under age 18 at year-end, has a valid SSN issued before the election is made, and has not had a prior Trump account election filed.
How this application works
- We guide you through Parts I–IV and generate your filled Form 4547 PDF(s).
- If you have more than 2 children, we’ll generate multiple Form 4547 PDFs (the IRS instructions allow multiple forms).
